Plant Lady in training

Plant Lady in training

I have never been successful with plants; in fact, I’ve been known to kill plants which most would find are nearly effortless to maintain. Life was always too busy and my plants were either completely neglected or they were over-loved in an attempt to make up for times where they weren’t cared for with any kind of consistency. Root-rot or dehydration would ultimately take them all…

And then I started a journey to slow down and live more simply, with more intention. Refocusing my energy on that which is meaningful instead of busywork, clearing the clutter from my home and mind, and doing few things well instead of many things decently has opened new doors and allowed for me to revisit things I’ve always wanted to be better at…like growing plants.

Not that growing plants is hugely philosophical, but the greater context here is in cutting the unnecessary busywork and stress out of my life, I’ve been able to focus on things that bring joy, promote growth (both mental and physical), and pave the way for what lies ahead.

I’m so excited to share the three plants I am propagating with you. Two Coleus plants and a Lemon Lime Maranta (Prayer Plant). Here’s to lots of growth ahead!
